Christmas Countdown Days 1 & 2

Yesterday, we kicked off the Christmas season. Quinn sat on Santa's lap three times! Ha! We don't mess around.

In the morning, Raul, our elf on the shelf, made his first appearance and brought some magic fixings to make pancakes. Quinn was not so interested in Raul, but loved making the pancakes.

We then went to Wheeler Farm for pictures with Santa. Quinn was scared. So, we got a family photo. We also met up with our preemie friends, the Van Hise family, and did some shopping in the Holiday Market they have there.

Next, we stopped by Harmon's, and saw Santa again. Quinn was still not a fan, but did tell Santa she wanted an airplane. She also loved the candy cane from Santa, and getting to visit with Grandma.

This year we have a Christmas activity advent calendar, and the activity of the day was to go on a sleigh ride at the Homestead in Midway. Well, there wasno snow, so it was more of a wagon ride. And we were running late (so unlike us) and then Quinn puked. She is a recreational puker, and I think us rushing, plus going from the cold to the super hot building was too much and she tossed her cookies. After a quick change to her pajamas we were good to go. Quinn liked the ride, and at the end we got to sit in Santa's lap, well, sat near his lap. This time she told him she wanted candy and cars. However, thank goodness we bought this activity on a groupon and didn't pay full price. It was fun, but not 50 dollars worth of fun.

Today, Santa brought Dalan and me our Christmas presents early. New iPhones. Hooray! My phone had met its untimely death via the toilet before Thanksgiving. So, I am especially excited.

Raul also got caught sleeping today with three of Quinn's binkies. She thought it was pretty funny that he was "sleepin'". He was much better received today!

Our activity from the calendar for today is to gather a bag of toys to give to Santa to take back to the North Pole and fix up for other kids.

Her favorite thing though has been her "chocolate chart" (her advent calendar from Grandma). She begs for it!
