T is for Thankful

This year, Quinn is thankful for her family and her mom and dad and Piper Jean.  I think she hit the nail on the head, we are so loved, and have so many good people (and animals) in our lives to love. We are so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by wonderful and kind people.  I'd like to think I have always been an appreciative person, but since Quinn was born, I am hyper aware of all the support we have in our little village of family and friends!  We love you all and we are so lucky to have you in our lives!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Remember that one time.... (Part 4)

...I took way too many photos of my kid and attempted to post some of the photos and some little blurbs about each photo.

Remember that one time....

Quinn started indoor soccer. She is no Mia Hamm, but she is so much better than she was in the spring.

Remember that one time....

My mom, Ali, and I took Quinn to Disney on Ice, and she loved it.  She liked it a lot more than the circus. She was basically mesmerized for the whole show. So fun!

Remember that one time....

I took Ali to a sketchy circus, and we paid ten dollars to hold a tiger. And I was in my early 20's, but look 40.

Remember that one time....

Quinn wore purple to celebrate World Prematurity Day.

Remember that one time....

Quinn found a "helmet" under the bathroom sink.

Remember that one time....

We started doing art projects or Quinn's homework every night.

Remember that one time....

We had a little impromptu family photo session.

Remember that one time....

Quinn loved Alice and Hazel so much!

Remember that one time....

Dalan and Quinn jammed out.

Remember that one time...

Quinn loved blue juice.

Remember that one time....

Quinn got so mad at Dalan and me for singing.

Whew!  I think I got them all.

Remember that one time.... (Part 3)

Join me as I continue my walk down memory lane.

Remember that one time....

Quinn started preschool and caught every "bug" that was going around. Quinn had had three, maybe four colds, before starting school. She has now had three in the last three months. Not to mention she is cuddled up on my lap right now, not feeling well.  We knew that an isolated kid entering the school system was going to equal some sickness, but my goodness.  The good news is that her lungs and immune system are much better equipped to handle an illness now.

Remember that one time....

Quinn loved playing dress up!

Remember that one time....

We had some moderate success at potty training Quinn using the Ferris Wheel at Scheels as a bribe, but she is basically on potty trained if she can remain completely bottomless. Quinn also mastered cheating on her chart by adding extra stickers and ripping stickers in half to make two.

Remember that one time....

We took Quinn to an open gym time in South Jordan, and she had so much fun and it cost us the same amount as her not so great gymnastics class. Score!

Remember that one time....

I experimented with Quinn's hair.

Remember that one time....

This will hopefully be wrapped up in part 4.

Funnies

1.  Quinn had her biannual eye appointment on Friday.  On their way into the hospital, Quinn was so excited that she was going to get an exam, a shot, and got to go into building 3.  She would not let Dalan convince her otherwise about the shot. She was just sure she was going to get one.

When they made it up to the receptionist, Quinn said, "I'm Quinn Sellers and this is my dad."

Then the first guy came to test her vision, she reintroduced herself and Dalan again. She also asked for a shot. They were testing her vision using pictures, like a house or a dog inside of an octagon. However, Quinn would only tell them each new picture was an octagon. They had to find a different set to test her.

When the doctor came in to do the next part of the exam, Quinn asked for a shot again. The doctor ASSURED her there would be no shots this visit. Quinn, to the doctor's surprise, was very disappointed.

Quinn's eyes were fine by the way, and we will return in May for her next check up.

2.  This morning, I pulled up to Dalan's mom's house.

Quinn was so excited to see Alice.

"I say I don't think she is here yet. You are the first."

Quinn says, "I am not Sofia."

(Sofia The First, from Disney Junior.)

Remember that one time.... (Part 2)

.... I attempted to accurately and quickly describe some fun memories from the last two months. Well, here is part 2.

Remember that one time....

I developed a chronic illness in which I take a photo every morning Quinn has preschool, because I am so in love with her little wardrobe. Yep, I feel a little weird admitting that out loud. Like some how my blog is going to be passed around friends and sisters along with snarky comments that her clothes aren't even that cute or something. Oh well, I think she is adorable inside and out most days.

(Crazy hair day)

Remember that one time....

That I love having Q in my classroom with me before school on the days she has school. She is so smart and fun to be around.

Remember that one time....

I have pictures of Ali dressed up like Miley Cyrus, but she forbade me to put them on the Internet. Sad.

Remember that one time....

Quinn loves her Build-a-Bear which she named Ba Bear. She also loves her Minnies and Winnie stuffies.

Remember that one time....

Quinn got leopard print pajamas and I took a billion photos every time she wears them. We call them her Steven Tyler pjs which is a reference to the movie, Son in Law.

Remember that one time....

You had to wait for part 3.
