Quinn's Plant

My parents gave Quinn a plant when she was born, or maybe they gave it to Dalan and me when she was born, but I have always thought of it as Quinn's plant.

Recently, it was not doing so well. It was down to two leaves. My mom suggested moving it to a bigger pot, but I kept forgetting to buy one. Finally, I bought one a couple weeks ago, and I am happy to report that Quinn's plant has already sprouted two new leaves. Hooray!

Monday, Monday, Monday

On Monday, we went to Target, the park, and to Grandma Ti-Ti and Papa's house. Quinn had her first ice cream cone. She loved it! She also spent part of the day hiding in the cupboard. She's silly.

Other Weekend Fun

After our nice afternoon at the zoo, the weather turned on us. It was cold and windy for the rest of the weekend.

On Saturday night, we went to the Bees baseball game with Sierra and Odessa, Nghia, and Crissy, Oliver, Olivia, and Xavier. It was a lot of fun, and the kids had a blast playing on the grass and snacking. It then got even colder, and only Crissy's family lasted for the fireworks.

On Sunday night, we went out for Mexican food and then for a walk around the Westminster campus. It has changed so much since we were students there. Quinn was so hyper. She was running and laughing and being crazy. She loved the bridge. It now has a roof, and she kept calling it a tunnel.

It was a lot of fun to have Crissy and her family in town. We are lucky to have such good friends.

Z is for Zoo

My dear friend and former roommate, Crissy, is in town with her husband, Oliver, and their kids Olivia and Xavier.  Quinn went nuts when she met the kids, and was instantly in love with them.  This weekend, we went with them, and Sierra and Odessa to the zoo.  (Crissy and Sierra have known each other since high school, and then I met both of them at Westminster.)

We had so much fun.  Quinn only wanted to climb on fences, and show off her new moves from Little Dippers (tumbling), but we rode the train for the first time this year, and Quinn loved the choo-choo.  The weather was perfect, and even though it looked like it might rain, it never did.  We were a week early to see the new exhibit, but we did get a glimpse at the polar bear through the fence.

It was neat to have a second generation of kids making friends with each other, although in my head, I still picture us as 19 year old college students!

Mmmmm....Good

Quinn thinks most food is "mmmmm.... Good" now. It is pretty awesome. I am excited and nervous for her to get her button out in a couple of weeks. Excited, because she is eating better than ever and liking it! Nervous, because she has to go under for the procedure, even though it is quick and out-patient.

Here are some pics of Quinn enjoying some food.

Cousins

On Saturday, Dalan's cousins had a family get together at their house. It was a ton of fun and Quinn loved getting to play with Morgan, Teagan, and Keaton. She thought Mimi Alice and Mimi Porschia were too cute for words.

She loved the trampoline and the swings the best. My favorite Morgan quote, "Me and Teagy are way better eaters than Quinn." So true, so true!

I was lame and only thought to take pictures as Porschia and gang were leaving, so she is absent from the photos! Next time!

Brought to You by the Letter Q and the Number 2

Quinn celebrated her second birthday in the style of Sesame Street.  It was so much fun to plan from the invitations to the decorations and food.  It think everything was a big hit, and that kids (11 kids under the age of 6 were all here) and adults had a really nice evening. Thanks to everyone who came, and helped with the festivities!
And now for total photo overload!

C is for Cookie-  Cookies, Cookie Cupcakes, and Elmo cake.

The awesome birthday banner Ali and McKay made, expect to see it for the rest of Quinn's life on her birthday, because I love it!

This party was brought to you by the letter Q and the number 2.
