Due Date 2015

Dear Quinn, 

Holy cow!  What an exciting week you have had- you started Kindergarten and you are now officially developmentally five years old!  So cool!  (That paragraph totally needed all those exclamation points.) 

This year you were better able to gasp what a due date celebration means, although not totally. You know you were born sick and small, and that today was the day you were suppose to be born. You were so excited to eat your cupcake, and have your dad and I sing happy due date to you. You were bouncing off the walls all today, between your excitement over school and knowing today was a special Quinn day, we could barely contain you!  I love your enthusiasm.

- Quinndergarten!  You are two days in and totally loving school.  Today you chased a boy at recess and had PE. 

- Avengers!  They have replaced princesses as your favorite thing ever. You love Captain America. 

- Brains!  You love to read and you are an expert at counting.  We love watching you learn new things. 

- Play!  You love to play imaginary games like restaurant and school. You also love Little People, your doll house, side walk chalk, the jump rope, swimming, drawing and playing with stickers, and playing with your other figurines, especially in the tub. 

- Cousins and friends!  You love to play with Alice and Odessa, and you are obsessed with Dean and Olive. You are a great friend, and so sweet and loving to the babies. You can make a friend anywhere you go. 

- Silliness!  You have a great sense of humor. You are always up for a joke or a good giggle. 

- Screen Time!  Can I watch sumtin? is your favorite phrase, I swear. You love to watch the 7D, Avengers, Sofia, Doc Mcstuffins, and videos on YouTube about Disney Easter Eggs. You also love the minions and Big Hero 6. 

We love you Miss Quinn!  To what could have been. Happy Due Date.

You might have been "expecting" this post, but we are so excited to announce that in April, 2015 Quinn is getting . . . 

a new cousin!!!!!

Ali and Mckay will be having a baby sometime in the spring.  We are beyond excited.  Quinn and I nicknamed the baby Rumpelstiltskin- later shortened to Rumplie- for how sick this pregnancy has made Ali.  She is feeling better-ish, and we are just so excited to meet our new little family member.

Due Date 2014

Dear Quinn, 

I totally dropped the ball when it came to writing your due date letter on your actual due date. Sigh. Well, better late than never, right?  

You are awesome!  I am totally loving you as an actual, not just adjusted, four year old. You are funny, kind, helpful, sweet, insightful, smart, and totally bossy.  Ok, I could do without the bossy part. You have a great memory and a big heart.

You love to do your preschool on the computer, and are excited to start back at your regular preschool. 

You love your "guys."  This includes all your princess barbies and any other figurines type toys. 

You love the Little Mermaid the most. 

You are usually up to try anything as far as a new activity. 

You are the pickiest eater. You are not ever up to try new food. 

You are bossy. 

You love to play school, library, and doctor. 

You love animals and babies, and have a very kind heart. 

You love making new friends, and often find a friend everywhere we go. 

You love to bake and help in the kitchen. 

You love to pretend like you are a kitty. 

You are the best!
