Remember that one time.... (Part 1)

....I kept putting off blogging about all the fun things we have done for the last two months or so. I think it is time to do a post (or five) and get all caught up. I hate that blogging is slowly disappearing. I love the idea of Quinn having the posts as a baby book/journal when she grows up! 

Remember that one time....

I worked my ass off and raised a whole bunch of money for the parent support group at Quinn's NICU.  We had a great time at the event. I worked all day (and got a nasty sunburn which I did blog about), and Quinn had a blast meeting up with Carter, and other NICU friends.

We got selected for another House Party, and had a blast having our friends over to eat pizza and do the Cheeky Dance.

Piper was naughty and got caught on the kitchen table. Wait!  That happens all the time!

We meet up with Odessa, Hazel, Sierra, Katie, and Patrick and met Thomas the Train!  We waiting a long time to meet him, but it was fun!  And we headed over to Discovery Gateway after!

My Nana had surgery and spent some time in a rehab. recovering. We spent some time visiting her.  Quinn found all kinds of silly things to do.

12 for 12 (Part 1)

So, last year I saw people doing these 12 for 12 posts.  Basically, you take 12 pictures of the 12th day of each month for 12 months during the year 2012.  Well, at the time I was still doing Quinn's monthly letters on the 14th, and it seemed like overkill, plus I kept forgetting.  Then, I was going to start in June and just do a 6 for 6 type of thing, and I totally forgot to do that.  So I set a reminder in my phone to start this January, and although the year is now 2013, I am still committing to take 12 photos on the 12th day of each month for 12 months.  Ideally, I would like to actually post on the 12th as well, but we got home late last night (around 11...ha, when did that become late?), and I didn't get around to it in time. 

Snow covered everything.  It snowed for almost 24 hours straight! 

It is bitterly cold.  I don't think it ever got much warmer than this yesterday, but did get much colder.

Quinn told me she had to poop yesterday, and started taking off her diaper, so I rushed her to the toilet.  Then, she threw up everywhere.  I guess she just knew her belly hurt, but didn't know which end it was coming out.  She then took a bath.  She fine the rest of the day.  She is totally just a recreational puker. 

Quinn stealing pretzels off the table, and Piper stealing food off Quinn's highchair.  We still have Quinn in a highchair, because it is a semi-effective way to trap her at the table. 

Quinn and I then made Diet Coke Brownies, so they would be Weight Watchers approved.  Quinn loves to bake.  Here she is dumping. 

Quinn also loves to lick the beater.  She makes the funniest camera faces these days. 

I also made chicken pot pie soup for dinner.  The cold weather made me quite domesticated. 

Quinn is sad we put her in such an ugly cheer leading outfit....ha!

Here is my last picture.  It is horribly dark, but Dalan and I went to see A Philadelphia Story at Pioneer Theater last night.  It is always fun to go see a show, even though it was just eeehhhh. 

Not a Quitter

I seriously don't have anything to blog about today, but I am not a quitter. So, let's see what random things I can piece together.

- I am getting a ton of great deals online, and may be done with my Christmas shopping before Black Friday.

- Quinn is a total 2 year old tomboy. Almost all her gifts are Disney themed and have come from the boys section. What can you do? It is better than princesses. :-).

- If you ask Quinn what she wants from Santa, she says an airplane. Every. Single. Time.

- Quinn and I will be going through our playroom and putting together a bag to leave for Santa, so he can pass the toys along to other kids.

- Quinn spotted one of the "car" grocery carts for the first time as we walked into Harmon's. I told it was broken. She believed me, even when the kid that walked in right behind us hopped in and "drove" away. Shopping is hard enough with her without pushing one of those suckers around.

- I work a half day tomorrow and then get a five day weekend. It will be glorious.

- Quinn's sleeping has reached an all time low point. I wish I could replicate whatever was working so smoothly over the summer. I seriously thought I was going to lose my mind the other night. Silly night owl.

- We babysat Scout this morning before she went to doggy daycare. She is so cute. Piper was less than thrilled, and the reason Scout has to go to daycare rather than hang out at our place.
