Santa!

We took the girls and the dogs to sit on Santa's lap. 

Olive was terrified.  She just cried and cried.  

Scout was protective. She barked and barked. 

Hazel was a spaz.  She spazzed and spazzed. 

Ha ha.  Poor Ali's family.  It was not their year.  

Quinn, on the other hand, was so excited.  She told Santa all the things she wanted this year, and he even promised her a surprise.  Clementine was good too.  She had no stranger danger.   Ha ha.  

Christmas Day

Christmas was great!  Truly magical.  Have I mentioned that four year olds rule?   I thought Quinn was going to wake us up at 4 am, she was so excited. Luckily, she waited until 7.  We opened gifts from Santa and each other.  Quinn was so so excited to get her Rapunzel Legos from Santa. We had some time to play with our gifts before heading over to my parents' house. 

At my parents' house we opened more gifts and had brunch. It was a nice morning as always, and everyone got spoiled. 

We had a little time between houses to come back home and play with our new toys! 

Then we were off to both Dalan's parents' house and his aunt and uncle's house. We got spoiled again. There were a lot of presents, good food, and family family. 

Our last stop of the evening was at my Nana's for dinner and our white elephant exchange. Cole's Bill Cosby set was my favorite of the night. Santa also drops off a gift to everyone.

Today's activity was to write a letter to Santa. It is pretty adorable. Anything in quotes is what Quinn had me write in response to my questions.

Dear "Santa",

I would like an "airplane", a "cat", and "candy".

I had fun seeing you. "Yeah, yeah, yeah!"

I have been "nice" and "naughty" this year! But mostly "nice".

As you may remember, Quinn has already seen Santa three times this year. She was not so into it. But she did ask for an airplane and a car.

Christmas Recap Part 1

...Our Christmas Day can easily be divided into four parts with lots of pictures from each part...

Part 1:  Our House.

On Christmas morning, we woke up Quinn at 8:00 am, and went downstairs to see if Santa had visited us the night before.  And oh boy!  Did he ever!  Quinn got lots of toys and books.  She got a Rockin' Elmo, a Cabbage Patch Kid, blocks, books, a pillow pet, and a special Cookie Monster doll from daddy.  Santa brought a new treadmill to Dalan and me.

Quinn liked opening presents and was quiet and calm throughout the whole morning.  After we opened gifts, she was content to look at books until it was time to go over to my parents' house.
