Happy Due Date Day Dear Quinn! It is your second 1st birthday! You chronologically turned one in May, and now you are developmentally turning one at the end of August. We planned a fun and special day to mark such an important milestone in your life. You are a very lucky girl, most people don't get two birthday celebrations in one year.
First, we went to the aquarium. You love the fish. You squeal and ooohhh and aawww at all the exhibits. You stood by the penguin cut outs like a big girl this time with no temper tantrums. You also chomped your teeth like an alligator, and stuck out our tongue like a snake. It was very fun.
On the way home, we stopped at Harmons. You got to see Aunt Ali, and she gave you a sticker. The lady in the bakery gave you a cookie, and the lady at the check out stand gave you a balloon. It was a very fun trip to the grocery store.
Later we had Due Date Day cupcakes. You were much more interested in them this time around versus your cake on your actual birthday. You were excited to pick it up and lick the frosting off your fingers. You ended up tossing the cupcake to Piper, who was very eager to help you eat it.
In the evening, we went to the park. You did some of your most favorite things- swinging and sliding. You have no fear. You like to go down the slide now on your belly, feet first. We walked around the park, and you were talking up a storm. Babbling about this and that. You did your "Home Alone" scream. You also started smacking your lips together and touching your mouth to let us know you were hungry. So, we stopped at 7-11 and got you a Slurpee. You loved it. You ate quite a bit, and then Dad finished it.
What a fun Due Date Day celebration!
We love you so much!
Love,
Mom and Dad

Happy Due Date Day Quinn! Seriously, you'd never guess this kid is only supposed to be 12 months old -- she's so grown up now! I love the video of her saying 'blue' all perfectly, and her pigtails are the cutest freaking thing ever!
And it really was oddly trippy for me when I saw my BabyCenter email for the day, and it was Quinn's due date, and it was all, "Your baby is now around 11 inches and about a pound." Looking at Quinn you'd never know now how tiny she started out -- she really is making the most of that 15 week head start she got on all the other babies her age :-)
That was a great tribute to Quinn Hilary!!!! She is getting to be such a toddler isn't she? I love how much of a character she is and that she brings so many people together! Happy Due Date Quinn!!!!!
She is so grown up! I love her and all the cute faces she makes. You guys are such a fun family
