Quinn-ceanera (aka 15 months old)

Dear Quinn,

You are 15 months old today! That seems so old. You are quickly becoming more and more a toddler, and less and less a baby. Exciting and sad at the same time.

Stats:

* You weigh about 17 pounds, and are about 28 inches long. (We will know for sure in a few weeks when you have your check up). You are still wearing size 3 diapers and 6-12 month sized clothes.

Milestones, Likes, and Dislikes:

* You are standing like a champion, and have taken a random step here and there, but still no walking. You are a master crawler, and it is hard to motivate you to walk.

* You say guy-guy, dada, mama (all the time now!), and ball (although you say it like buuull). You shake your head no, and are getting better and better at mimicking. You even say dog pretty consistently. You point at things and sometimes ask something that sounds like "what's that?"

* You know what sounds/face the pig, camel, and fish make.

* You like to read books, and can play in your playroom for hours.

* You love animals.

* You have kind of turned a corner when it comes to eating. You are consuming almost half of your daily calories orally, and have taken to trying table foods. HOORAY! Fingers crossed.

* You are brave and daring. You love horse rides, merry-go-rounds, swings, and slides. Last night, you even went on a tire swing all by yourself. You are scared of the vacuum, and your ball popper, however.

* You went on your first plane, train, boat, limo, and trolley ride this month. You also went to the beach for the first time.

* You love all your aunts and uncles, and grandmas and grandpas.

* You love to swim.

* You are hard to take anywhere, because you insist on standing up all the time. You will stand up in the grocery cart, in your stroller, or in a high chair.

We love you so much! We love to watch you grow, learn, and try new things. You are so happy, and fun, and you make everyone around you feel those things too.

Love,

Dada and Mama

Love the monthly updates on Quinn!
It's funny to me how she's not really that much smaller than Ellie was at this age -- go Quinners!
Isaac totally did the 'what's that?' sound for awhile, but has since dropped it from his repertoire, which makes me sad, 'cause it was freaking adorable.
Annie saw no reason to walk FOREVER (she was over 15 months old before she'd decide that maybe, just maybe, this mode of transportation was worth something).
I love the faces and animal sounds. Isaac will have nothing to do with Animal sounds :-( Annie and Ellie's favorite at this age was an elephant's, 'BROOO!' I loved that!

Don't worry Quinn -- one day you'll grow to love the ball popper :-) Then when you're four, you and all your friends will fight over the flying balls . . . trust me. :-)

HA! I love that first picture where she's got her finger in the air like, "Wait just one minute!" CUTE.
