THIRTY-THREE

Today is Dalan's 33rd birthday. Seems like just yesterday he was 29. This year for his birthday tribute I am going to list 33 things that make him wonderfully fantastic. (Thanks Ali, Patti, and VaRonica for your input.)

1. He is the most grateful person I know. He claims he hates getting gifts, but he is more sincere in his gratitude than most people I know.
2. His favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. No giving, no receiving... Just eating.
3. People always comment that he could have been a Leap Day baby, but 1979 was not a Leap Year, so nope. He is simply a February 28th baby.
4. He is so fabulous with Quinn. He is patient and fun.
5. He is a junk food junkie.
6. He loves musical theater.
7. He growls like a raptor when he is woken up too early.
8. He has soooo many socks. And is always asking for more.
9. He is an avid baseball fan. Go Yankees!
10. He is an avid college football fan,. Go Utes!
11. He is adored by Quinn, even in the NICU, her vitals would vastly improve if he was around.
12. He loves to quote movies.
13. Even though, he claims tv is his best friend, he agreed to down grade to basic cable.
14. He has had the same best friends since he was a child.
15. He would never throw a party, but humors my need to every three months or so.
16. He claims he has been working on his ground game for years.
17. He takes care of all the car maintenance around here.
18. He loves Piper, and has an alarm set on his phone so he does not miss her evening meds.
19. He loves cheese balls so much.
20. He insists on sleeping with no flat sheet and only one pillow.
21. He hates tomatoes.
22. He is easy-going.
23. He is enthusiastic.
24. He has great taste in music, tv shows, and movies.
25. He doesn't like to be hot.
26. He once lied to me and told me he had a pet pig named, Bacon.
27. When I first met him, gin and juice was his beverage of choice.
28. He is hilarious and witty.
29. He is athletic.
30. He is always willing to help.
31. He is always willing to let me nap or take it easy.
32. He is an amazing dad, husband, brother, son, and friend.
33. He is going to think this list is super cheesy.
