Creature Encounters

Quinn's future husband, Isaac, turned five a couple of weeks ago. Becca and Dave went all out and threw him the party of all parties!  Lots of kids, food, and creatures!  Quinn was in heaven!  And so brave.  She even begged to hold a scorpion. I took a billion photos, because we were just having that much fun!

Baby Animals 2014

We headed up to Wellsville again this year for baby animals days. Last year, it all just fell into place, this year we weren't as lucky. Don't get me wrong, we still had a great time and Quinn loved it. But, last year our timing was perfect and we stayed one step ahead of the lines, this year we only stayed a 1/4 of a step ahead, if that. So, we spent a lot more time in line and had less time for activities.

Throwing rocks into the pond while waiting in line for 45 minutes to see the bears.

The bear barn.

Baby rabbits, ducks, and chicks. Our favorites!

(The kiss was completely spontaneous!)

We met a donkey and a goat.

Quinn got extremely thirsty while waiting for the candy cannon. The candy hunt ended up being her favorite part of the day. She did so well this year. She sure is growing up.

Then we waited in another huge line for the train. And it had gotten cold. We were all freezing at this point, but Quinn had been waiting all day to ride the train, so off we waited. And it was fun.

Verdict- we will probably go next year, but will skip the bears and hit all the baby animals and rides before there are any lines.

Spring Break

We had a lot of fun over spring break, both Quinn and I had nine days off, and it was lovely. As always, I had intended to get more done around the house, but instead ended up relaxing of we were out doing activities. We had a blast, and ended up being so busy that this will likely end up being multiple posts.

Last Monday, we cleaned up the playroom and got our taxes done in the morning, then we took Quinn to Scheels to ride the Ferris Wheel. She loved it, of course. By the evening, I felt like I had run out of things to do to keep her entertained. Ha, ha!  #firstdayofvacationproblems. We ended up doing some crafts. It was fun.

On Tuesday, Quinn and I spent the morning visiting my Nana. Then we met Dalan to take my car into the shop. And the news wasn't good. And I don't want to talk about it. :-( We soldiered on, and took Quinn bowling. It was a blast. I seriously was bowling the game of my life and then our alley malfunctioned and ruined my mojo. Quinn was adorable. She did a little dance each time, and I have the absolute best video of her falling down the alley.

Oh and I almost burned down the house.

On Wednesday, Quinn played in her playroom, and then went up to her Grandma Deanie and Papa Ronnie's with Dalan while I went to lunch with some friends. That night, Ali, my mom, Quinn, and I went to the planetarium to see a movie, and the IMAX player or something broke. So we got some free snacks, and a lecture from the zoo, but no movie. Boo!  We'll have to go back sometime soon.

On Thursday, after not making it to the toilet on time, Quinn had the following fake phone conversation, "I peed on the rug, and then I said it is going to be a perfect day!"

In the afternoon, we headed to a trampoline/bounce place. It was quite fun and quite the workout.

I also started and finished this book with about a 18 hour period that included sleep. Once I start a book, I get seriously addicted.

On Friday, Quinn and I ran some errands, including seeing the baby animals at CAL Ranch. Quinn was adorable and a nice employee let Quinn hold a chick. Then that afternoon, we headed to Hollywood Connection. It was fun, but exhausting! We rode rides, mini- golfed, roller skated, and played games!
