Princess Camp

Odessa and Quinn headed off to an afternoon at Princess Camp last week.  Odessa and Sierra treated Quinn as her birthday gift.  So thoughtful.  These two friends had a great time.  They were so excited on the way there. It was adorable.

My Aunt Linda and Uncle Dave came into town and invited us to spend the morning at Blackridge Res. playing on the beach and kayaking.  We had a really great time.  Summer time rules!

Bubble Run

Ali, McKay, Dalan, and I signed up for our  first 5k, The Bubble Run, way back in February.  We had big dreams of fitness. Then I had a seizure, and had a never ending respiratory infection.  Oh, and Ali gave birth via c-section.  Anyway, we are not in tip top shape.  So, we signed up Quinn too, and just walked most of it.  My mom came along to watch Olive and to be our cheering section. 

We had a really good time.  While I wish it had been less crowded and I had been in better shape, I am really proud of our group for doing it.  I am also really impressed at how well Quinn did.  Go our team!

Cousin Time

Dalan's parents went to Ohio to celebrate his Aunt Geraldine's 90th Birthday! We were lucky enough to watch VaRonica's kids while they were gone.  Quinn loves her cousins. She had a blast having a playmate (Alice) around every day, and she is so smitten with Dean.  She is also such a big helper these days. 

Most days, we started out days by walking over to the elementary school and eating breakfast, and then playing on the playground.   After some indoor activities and lunch, the girls would head to the backyard to play while Dean napped.  It was a lot of fun.  (And a lot of work, this mama was a little shocked to go from one 5 year old to three kids 5 and under.)

Quinn and I walked to the playground the other evening after her bath. She held my hand the whole way there and back.   I love being her mama.  

Lagoon, 2015

This year, it was Patti, Quinn, and me for Lagoon.  We were able to meet up with some friends for lunch and for some rides, and had a really good time.  Patti didn't win any prizes, but we had perfect weather and rode tons of rides. Quinn and I liked Bombora the best. Quinn and Patti liked the swings the best.  And Patti and I liked the Dole Whip the best.  Yum!
