We had a really fun morning in the raft, playing in the water, and building sandcastles. Plus no one (mainly me) got sunburned. Hooray!

Lake Herriman
One of Quinn's most favorite things to do is go to the beach. We even ordered a raft to fulfill her request from last summer to take one out on the lake. We ended up taking our first trip to Blackridge Resevior the day before the 4th of July. We knew it would be busy and got there around 10, and when we left at 12:30, it was wall to wall people.
Fourth of July, 2015
Anyone who knows me, knows that my family and I love the Fourth of July. This year did not disappoint. We made a lot of great memories over the weekend.
Memory #1- Quinn and Olive in matching outfits, and Ali's and my attempt at child photography.
Memory #2- The Parade. It went north again this year which isn't my favorite, but they did a better job of being more in the center of the street. We had nice cloud cover, so we didn't overheat. Quinn got a lot of candy and met Captain America.
Memory #3- Dinner at my parents' house plus fireworks at Murray Park.

Mini Golf and Batting Cages
I ended up not leaving the house for most of the week. Not being able to drive is slowing killing me. It sucks. By the time,Thursday rolled around and Dalan had the night off for the holiday, getting out of the house was a must. So, we ran to Target (my dream is to get to go to Target and just wonder around all by myself) and then to Mulligans for some mini-golf and batting cages. My favorite! And Quinn was a riot.
We had taken Quinn mini-golfing last year at Hollywood Connection (RIP), and she was never really that into it. But we figured you never know what a year will do in a kid's life. She played all 18 holes and tried on all of them. Although, she hits the ball like Happy Gilmore and moves the ball wherever she wants. She had a blast and was a lot of fun. Dalan and I really enjoyed it too. We didn't keep score and just played. Dalan even got a hole in one!!!!
Next we were decided to try the batting cages. My absolute favorite. It was fun. Dalan helped Quinn some, and she got a hit with his help, but really was just having a blast swinging and missing. She was a really good sport.
We ended the night with some Frozen Yogurt and then setting out our chairs for the parade. A new record. People are out of control. There should be a 24 hour rule or something.

26/52
Half way through the year! I can't believe it. It will be Christmas time before we know it.
Quinn is over the moon to have some major Alice and Dean time this past week and over the next two weeks. She keeps asking if she can go to sleep, so she can wake up and have it be Monday. So fun.
Also, this girl has her own sense of style. She insisted on wearing my socks up the canyon yesterday for Sierra's baby shower. She totally then struck a pose for this photo.
