We have also been having a lot of fun during the day. I am so sad (and a little nervous) that the new school year is about to start. Quinn and I spent a few hours in my classroom already, and it just solidified that summer break flew by this year!
We cleaned out our shed and Pete's cage. Ok, so this one wasn't so fun, but so necessary, and it felt good to get rid of the clutter! Quinn loved petting Pete. She said he was cute and so soft. (We might need to review what soft means.)
We went to the zoo with Ali. Ali and McKay couldn't make it to Sunday dinner last week and Quinn was so sad. She missed them like crazy, and talked about inviting them to dinner all day on Monday. We had a blast at the zoo! And then we ran some errands and went swimming too.
This should have gone on the "summer nights" post. Oh well. Quinn and I ran to Target with my mom. Quinn insisted on wearing this beach towel, because she was so cold. Then she found a luggage tag, and decided it was her map. She walked through Target like this. It was hilarious. And then so sad when it was time to put it back. She told us Target makes her sad.
Quinn and I love taking selfies. If you average our ages, we are 18.
Quinn got a bunch of hand-me-downs from our friends Laurel and Maddie. Quinn was so excited about her new clothes.
Quinn has been asking every single day to go to the beach. It is literally the last thing she says to me every night before she goes to bed. We knew we wouldn't be making it the ocean this summer, and debated about the local lakes- distance, beach access without a boat, etc. So we decided to try Blackridge Reservoir in Herriman. It was perfect for Quinn's beach needs. Sand for building sand castles, and water for splashing. It was nearly a perfect day, except Dalan got stung by a bee. The bees were terrible.
And finally some silliness from yesterday.
