Quinn and the Boys

Last weekend, Dalan's parents had a BBQ. It was so much fun. We ate delicious food, had good company, and all the kiddos got to play together. All four of these kids have super blue eyes, however, the boys are all much blonder than Quinn. There was an attempt to get photos of all four kids together, but it proved to be a little difficult. I am not pointing fingers, but QUINN might have been most uncooperative one there. She just wanted to crawl and not sit and pose. Hopefully, next time we get all four kiddos together, Quinn will be more in a picture taking mood. Thanks for the pictures, Mindy!

Also, during the week, Quinn and I met Isaac and Becca at Liberty Park to do some splashing. Isaac was very distracted by all the cool orangey squirt guns other kids had brought with them. How DARE his mother not anticipate his every possible desire. :-) We decided to ditch the splash park, and played on the swings instead. This was Quinn's first real time (we had put her in swings briefly before, but never really let her swing) and she loved it. The girl loves anything dangerous. While we were getting the kids changed for the playground, Isaac was tickling Quinn with a weed and telling her secrets. It was very sweet.

Because Quinn had so much fun swinging, Dalan and I took her to the park on Friday night. She had a blast! She loved the swings, the slides, and the tubes/tunnels. This kid has no fear! She loved being put on the top of the slide by me, going down ALL BY HER TINY SELF, and being caught at the bottom by Dalan. We did this over and over again for about 30 minutes. She spilled on herself right before we left for the park, so I grabbed something out of the laundry basket, and off we went. It was apparently the same outfit she had worn to the park earlier in the week. It must be her swinging outfit! She also took lots of bites of our sno cones when we got home. The things I'll let this kid have to get her to eat!

She's a danger woman! You gotta love the guts on that girl, but you know she may give you several minor heart attacks in the coming years. :) It was fun to get together at Liberty! I hope we can do something again with the kids before we go back to school!
