Fourth of July, 2014

The people of our fine city have lost their minds!  People started setting out their chairs and saving their places for the parade on Tuesday. The parade wasn't until Friday....too early!  And I caved to pressure, and set out some chairs on noon on Thursday, when I realized there wasn't going to be any spots left if I didn't.

The parade was crowded this year and it went in the opposite direction. Also, it didn't go down the middle of the street, but stayed on the east side of the street. All these things were a little disappointing. Oh, and it was HOT!  However, Quinn loved it, and we had fun. So it was a win.

We spent the afternoon cooling off at home, and in the evening went over to my mom and dad's house. Ali and McKay brought water guns and balloons, which Quinn loved. We had a delicious and festive dinner, and a real nice time visiting.

Then we headed to the high school to watch the fireworks. Quinn was hilarious. She thought the fireworks looked like all her favorite characters- Ariel, the minions, Snow White, etcetera. She has quite the imagination these days.

Another fabulous holiday for the old memory book!
